Justin Bieber pulled off a slick marketing move right before surrendering himself to Toronto police on Wednesday.
Before Bieber arrived to the crush of fans, media, and curious pedestrians who greeted him outside Toronto's 52 Division office, the 19-year-old pop star uploaded a video on to his Instagram account to tease the release of his new video.
“What’s up, guys? Justin here. 'Confident' is out right now,” said Bieber. He also took to Twitter to share his very important message amid his string of legal troubles.
Clever. We see what you did there.
According to 680 News, Bieber spent two hours at the police station and quietly left through a side door.
Toronto police later issued a statement, confirming Bieber’s arrest in connection to an assault investigation. The pop star has been formally charged with one count of assault.
Bieber is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on March 10.
