The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a recall notice for meats produced by Harvest Meats Co., which says that the products may contain "unsuitable ingredients."

The CFIA's notice did not go into detail about what those ingredients may be, but did classify the health hazard level as low to no risk.

When contacted by phone, a representative of Harvest Meats, based in Yorkton, Sask., told CBC News that managers were not around and the company would not be commenting on the matter this weekend.

The meats, with expiry dates in August and September, may have been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

The CFIA also posted a related recall for Northern Natural Processing brand beef products, which were distributed to various warehouses in Ontario and Saskatchewan.
