James Rodriguez scored two goals to spark Colombia past Uruguay 2-0 in the teams’ Round of 16 match at the FIFA World Cup on Saturday.
With five goals, the 22-year-old Rodriguez took over the scoring lead for the tournament, and is easily the breakout star of the World Cup.
The first marker of his brace may stand as the goal of the tournament – a powerful left-footed volley that bounced off the crossbar and into the net.
Colombia enters the quarter-finals for the first time in World Cup history, and will play the hosts Brazil next.
Uruguay was without striker Luis Suarez, who was suspended for the tournament after biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
