A key game between Uruguay and Italy turned ugly after cameras caught Suárez appearing to bite an Italian player after he was blocked from the ball.
But the referee didn't see the alleged chomp, despite Italian defender Giorgia Chiellini falling down, clutching his shoulder, and pulling down his jersey to reveal a red mark.
After the game, Chiellini confirmed he had been bitten.
“... not sending off Suarez (was) ridiculous,” Chiellini said. “It was absolutely clear. There’s even a mark.”

Uruguay went on to win the game 1-0, knocking Italy out of the tournament.
FIFA officials say an investigation has been launched to review the incident.
“We are awaiting the official match reports and will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter,” said a FIFA spokesperson.
Suárez didn't respond to questions about his alleged bite, passing by reporters after the game with a smile and thumbs-up.
Soccer fans who watched the match were quick to respond with a series of memes poking fun at the incident, as well as the resurrection of Suárez's "vampire" past.
