Police in Vancouver are investigating the city's seventh homicide of 2014, after a man was shot and killed at a house in East Vancouver on Saturday night.
VPD Const. Brian Montague says several 911 calls came in at 11:30 p.m. PT, reporting the sound of gunshots in the Kensington Cedar Cottage neighbourhood.
Officers arriving in the area found a 33-year-old Vancouver man with gunshot wounds at the front entrance of the house where he lived, on Gladstone Street near East 29th Avenue.
Montague said he was declared dead at the scene.
Police are not yet releasing the name or any other details about the victim.
Montague said police received information indicating that the shooting was targeted.
