An Oshawa woman is accused of fleeing the scene of a collision in Toronto's Kensington Market that left a man with life-threatening injuries this weekend.

Toronto police say that a 28-year-old man was waiting to get into a taxi on Dundas Street West, near Augusta Avenue, in the early hours of Saturday morning when he was struck by a vehicle passing the taxi’s driver’s side.

Police allege that the vehicle fled the scene.

A day later, police announced an arrest in connection with the investigation.

Karen Fyfe, 31, of Oshawa, is charged with fail to stop causing bodily harm.

The accused is due to appear in a Toronto court tomorrow.

The investigation into the collision continues.
