The man suspected of killing an East Vancouver mother has been found dead in a park in South Vancouver.
Const. Brian Montague said officers have taped off part of Gladstone Park where the body of the 31-year-old ex-husband of homicide victim Thi Tam Nguyen was discovered Sunday afternoon.
Montague said a 13-year-old who was walking along a trail through the green space, near the area of Portside Drive, made the discovery.
The body was hanging from a tree, Montague said.
Nguyen, 27, was found dead Saturday afternoon in the basement suite where she lived, in a home at the corner of E. 41st Avenue and Rupert Street.
Her four-year-old son was found safe and taken into police custody.
Nguyen became Vancouver's 6th homicide victim this year.
