The Toronto Blue Jays kicked off their home opener before a sold-out crowd on Friday with some special guests in attendance.

Before the game, members of Canada’s 2014 Sochi Olympics and Paralympics teams stepped out to the field and were honoured in during the opening ceremony.

Freestyle skiers Justine and Chloé Dufour-Lapointe also took to Twitter to show off their custom Blue Jays jerseys detailed with their name and the number 14 on the back.

But the all-star group of Canadian winter athletes weren’t the only high-profile guests spotted at Rogers Centre. The ballgame also attracted the likes of Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, Rob Ford and Toronto mayoral candidate John Tory, according to CBC News.

Despite a full house and added star power in the stands, the Blue Jays lost their opening game to the New York Yankees 7-3.

Justine and Chloé captured the hearts of many Canucks after securing a rare podium finish together, winning gold and silver in the same women’s moguls event in Sochi.

Their sister, Maxime Dufour-Lapointe, also qualified for same Olympic event and finished 12th.
