Three cases of the H1N1 flu strain have been confirmed at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto.

A spokesperson for the downtown facility on Friday said six of its clients have been affected by the outbreak. One staff member has been sent home sick but is not among those confirmed to have H1N1.

CAMH says it has closed its women’s in-patient unit, where the affected patients remain, until the outbreak is over.

The centre says it has given all its patients doses of the antiviral drug Tamiflu, and is working with municipal public health authorities to contain the outbreak.
