A 29-year-old has been charged in the death of Australian woman Gemma Snowball after she was struck down by a motor vehicle in a New Westminster crosswalk in 2013.
Crown counsel have approved charges, including driving without due care and driving without reasonable consideration, against Ryan Follack of Kelowna.
Snowball, 25, died of injuries she suffered when she was hit crossing an intersection at 6th Street and 6th Avenue in New Westminster March 12, 2013.
New Westminster police's investigation took almost a year, and included collision analysis and reconstruction, along with input from what the department call independent experts.
Follack is scheduled to appear in New Westminster court March 26, 2014.
