Blue skies, breezy and sub-zero temperatures are the story for B.C.'s South Coast over the next few days, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.
A dry air mass has settled into place, bringing sunshine today and tomorrow. But cooler air will continue to filter down across the province, dropping afternoon highs to just 0 C by the end of the week. Thursday is the best chance at getting some moisture into the air as a low-pressure system begins to develop off the coast, bringing the chance for flurries across the South Coast through to Friday.
The sun is set to return for the weekend, but the South Coast will remain in the deep freeze. The best chance at accumulating snow may come early next week.
