Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding cities. The agency warned "strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h along with local quarter size hail and heavy rain" could be in store. A tornado warning issued earlier in the day for areas such as Kincardine, Bruce County and Blyth, ended mid-afternoon.
Toronto Pearson Airport warned of possible delays:
Thunderstorms in the area may lead to delays this evening. Please check with your airline for up to date flight information. #SafetyFirst
