When we first became aware that this glass house went on the market, I quickly dispatched my friend Laurie Lee to investigate and confirm it was not a dream.
Listing pictures are flawless, of course, but we had to see it for ourselves.

Laurie works in Toronto as a talent scout for Universal Music. Hanging out with future rock stars all day, she perfectly gets the sense of what a house needs to entertain guests and throw a party.
This house also sort of reminds me of a home in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"!
Luckily for us, listing agent Janice Williams at Sotheby’s Toronto gladly agreed to take us inside this $3,988,000 beauty for a private tour. She’s been in business for more than 17 years and ensures us that this is the state of the art in term of luxury and leisure living.

From her listing:
The "Glass House" is located in Oakville, about a 40 minute drive from Toronto. It enjoys the reputation of a prestigious neighbourhood and is literally steps from the Lake Ontario waterfront, where the breeze is cool and time stops during hot summer days.
The intimate backyard is private and serene. Just look at this oasis.

Among other features, the central living room with its double-sided fireplace is stunning and open. The 10+ foot glass windows allow the whole house to blend perfectly with nature outside and ensure privacy for hosting a dinner party.

The whole basement is actually a huge man cave.
This wine cellar is enormous and can hold up to 1,000 bottles. Air exhaust plus ventilation have been installed in order for guests to enjoy cigars inside. You will also notice the bar, pinball machine and table games.
This also connects to a four-car garage where you can park cars that look like the Batmobile.
