A Canadian women and her daughter received an early Mother’s Day gift after going to the Ellen Degeneres show.
Glenda, a single mother and office manager in Toronto, had been saving up to buy her own home after living in her mother's basement. But before moving out and investing in her own nest, Glenda and her daughter decided to use some savings to take their first vacation in over six years. Their destination? Los Angeles to see their favourite TV host.
“You decided this was more important that moving out?” Ellen joked on her show on Monday. “I hope all of you (audience) have the same priorities.”
Both mom and daughter were brought on stage after playing a game of, “last person standing wins big.”
