Police and outreach workers are trying to convince those living on the streets of Toronto to find a place indoors as temperatures plunge into the sub-zero, double digits Monday evening.

Environment Canada reports that the temperature could fall to a low of -25C overnight, though the windchill will make it feel even colder.

That could make it one of the coldest days of the current winter.

With the mercury falling, police officers and outreach workers are worried about the people on the streets suffering frostbite, hypothermia or worse.
