OTTAWA - Fresh from a close-up look at Canada's Rocky Mountains, French President Francois Hollande will address the House of Commons as he continues a state visit.
Hollande will be on Parliament Hill, and later meet with business leaders, after formally beginning his visit Sunday in Banff, Alta.
The visit gives Prime Minister Stephen Harper a chance to talk with the French leader about Canada-European Union trade and co-operation to combat international security threats — before he takes off on Tuesday for five days in China.
The two leaders are expected to hold a joint media availability shortly after they meet.
Here are some other events to begin the week on Parliament Hill:
— Parliamentary budget officer Jean-Denis Frechette appears at the Commons finance committee to discuss the government's economic and fiscal outlook;
— And the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario will hold a news conference to make an announcement that it says could "impact the future of healthcare in Canada."
