The Toronto Maple Leafs aren't having the greatest season. Some might say their upside-down flag at Saturday night's game was a sad form of symbolism.
Leafs' fans paraded the team’s flag proudly during the singing of the national anthem prior to their home game against the Chicago Blackhawks, but little did they know, the flag was facing the wrong way.
The mistake caused game-goers to take to social media, posting photos of the flag and comparing its unfortunate position to the team's performance.
The flag's presentation didn't harm their performance at all, the team won the game 3-2.
The mistake was also corrected when the flag was brought to ice later in the night, right-side up.
All's well that ends well, right?
