Police are investigating the stabbing of a man in Montreal's St-Michel neighbourhood that lead them to a hydroponic marijuana grow operation early this morning.
The victim — who police say is in his 20s — was taken to hospital and is in serious but stable condition.
According to Montreal police Const. Danny Richer, the victim was stabbed with a sharp object near the intersection of Bélair Street and 12th Avenue at around 4:20 a.m.
A 21-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by police.
Police say blood spatter led them to a nearby house, where they found the grow operation.
They are still trying to determine whether there is a link between the operation and the stabbing.
