A Vancouver tourist, who was held up at gunpoint as he bicycled through a Buenos Aires neighbourhood managed to capture the entire incident on his Go-Pro bike-helmet cam.

"I was on a bike tour in a rough part of Buenos Aires in broad daylight when a thief attempted to steal my camera gear at gunpoint," Hennessy wrote on YouTube.  "I miraculously happened to be recording with a GoPro on my forehead and captured this amazing piece of footage."

The dramatic footage shows the Vancouver man enjoying a morning bike ride through quiet streets when he is cut off by a man on a motorcycle. When Hennessy tries to bike away the motorcyclist pulls a handgun and in Spanish demands Hennessy's backpack.

Hennessy tries to communicate that he doesn't understand his demands, and he drops his bike drops and tries to run.

The man with the gun follows him and a brief struggle ensues.

Hennessy, still with his backpack, gets away and finds a group of cyclists on a nearby sidewalk who take him to a traffic policeman.

Hennessy and his friend Mike Graziano are on world-wide bike tour billed on their Facebook page as Global Degree. The pair are attempt to cycle through 195 countries in six months while capturing the entire experience on video.
