Toronto police have identified Richard Pepper, 60, as the man who was beaten unconscious in Etobicoke earlier this week and later died of his injuries in hospital.
On Thursday at around 8:30 p.m., police responded the Dundas Street West and Mabelle Avenue area after reports of a fight involving a group of men.
They found two men, including Pepper, with “obvious signs of injury” and took them to hospital.
Pepper, who is from Toronto, died in hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
