University at Buffalo (UB) soccer player Russell Cicerone channeled David Beckham when he scored an absolutely golden goal from kickoff on Friday.
Cicerone didn't so much bend it as power it for 50 yards over the Bryant goalkeeper's head to win 3-2 and give UB its first victory of the season, student newspaper The Spectrum reported.
"Amazing players do amazing things and there's really [no] words to describe it," coach Stu Riddle said in a news release.
We're not just throwing Beckham's name out there.
Distance-wise, Cicerone's strike bore a strong similarity to a classic goal that Becks scored for Manchester United in 1996.
