The second single from Toronto-based synth-based dance/pop duo YYZ, "I Wanna Be With You," is like a trip back through '80s and '90s video games.
Lead singer Ali McNally, originally from Toronto but recently a Londoner and a New Orleans denizen, is featured in the video as an 8-bit avatar. Primarily animated with an 8-bit video game aesthetic, the video shows her chasing her dream man through backdrops of various classic arcade games, including Pac-Man, Duck Hunt and Street Fighter. The video is directed by award-winning Toronto-based director/animator Sol Friedman of Artbeast Productions.
YYZ released their first single, "Lost In The Mix," in 2013.
YYZ is due to embark on a university tour shortly with Jillionaire (Major Lazer) and Bingo Players:
You can purchase "I Wanna Be With You" on iTunes Canada.
