It looks like the Lower Mainland is in for another beautiful weekend. Here are On the Coast's picks for how to enjoy the outdoors.
1. 11th Annual Richmond Maritime Festival
Celebrate Richmond's marine heritage as you walk through the beautiful boats on display, learn about local history from a mermaid, and take in the music, dancers and art.
There will be lots of seafood to enjoy and if you're still hungry, a selection of food trucks will be on hand to make sure you don't starve.

2. Abbotsford International Air Show
It's a family-friendly celebration of flight with planes performing aerobatics and complex formations in the sky, plus you can take a look inside jets and carriers on display.
The aviation community will be out to answer all your questions at the exhibition booths, so come armed with your curiosity.

3. Rockin' River MusicFest
Mission is hosting the country music festival for three days, with more than 20 bands. The festival is at the Mission Raceway Park and there's camping available. You can hear Terri Clark, Hey Romeo and Rascal Flatts on three stages.

4. Indiana Jones Marathon
If you haven't seen the Indiana Jones movies you can tick that box off all in one go. Harrison Ford in action, with snakes, monkey brains, and beautiful damsels. The films run all night at the Rio Theatre, so you may want to bring a pillow and pyjamas.

5. Bowen Island BowFEAST
It's an annual harvest festival and local eating celebration on Bowen Island, a short trip on a ferry from West Vancouver. Islanders have been challenged to eat local for a week, and it all culminates in the community farmers' market Saturday morning.
There are specials including a wine tasting and poetry contest, handmade Bowenberry truffles with local blackberries, and lots of kale, carrots and tomatoes coming from nearby farms. You can also go to the market for homemade jams, pies, and to buy flowers, honey and more.
