LOS ANGELES, United States of America - Media reports say the children of Casey Kasem are almost certain the remains of the radio personality are at a Montreal funeral home.

Representatives of the three children are speaking to a number of media outlets about their father.

Fox News quotes a spokesman for Kasem's three children who says they are adamant that their father had no connection to Montreal and to their knowledge had never been there before.

Fox says the spokesman added the children believe there is a possibility that Kasem's wife Jean has some link to Montreal.

The New York Daily News carried a similar story, largely attributing the information to a private investigator who said he did some work for Kasem's eldest daughter Kerri Kasem.

Kasem's children have been embroiled in a bitter battle with Jean Kasem over the radio personality's welfare that started months before he died in June at age 82.

Reports surfaced last week that Kasem's body was sent to Montreal.

The head of a Tacoma, Wa. funeral home said he personally oversaw the transportation arrangements and checked to ensure the remains arrived in Montreal.

But the Montreal funeral home the body was reportedly sent to has denied Kasem's body is there or that it was expecting his body.

The childrens' spokesperson told Fox News they are "90 per cent" sure their father's body is in Montreal.

Neither media outlet said they were able to reach Jean Kasem for comment.

A Washington judge granted Kerri Kasem a temporary restraining order preventing her father's wife from cremating his remains, but when her lawyer served the funeral home with a copy of the order, he was told Kasem's remains were no longer there.
