Two occupants and five of six horses managed to free themselves from a burning stable Saturday night in Repentigny.
The stable, which was located near Roger Street and Chemin de la Presqu'île, burned to the ground and one horse died in the fire.
Emergency responders arrived to find the five horses running free, and police managed to bring them under control.
Two people who lived in an apartment on the second floor of the stable managed to get out unharmed.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
