New York-based Joyride Coffee has developed a new, smart-filtering keg with iced coffee on tap -- and the trend is quickly catching on. Newsrooms like Gawker, BuzzFeed and Twitter have already installed the iced coffee "kegerators" and, as the New York Post reports, staff are in love.
As Yahoo explains, the brewing process inside the keg is simple: Coffee grounds are steeped inside water overnight, yielding a flavourful coffee that's low in acidity. A single keg contains about 18 L of the coffee and has a shelf life of about one month.
