Algeria earned its first win at the 2014 FIFA World Cup with offensive flair, downing South Korea 4-2 in the pair's second Group H match of the tournament on Sunday.

Islam Slimani, Rafik Halliche, and Abdelmoumene Djabou gave the Foxes a 3-0 lead at halftime, and survived a South Korean rally in the second half for the victory.

Son Heung-Min and Koo Ja-Cheol scored goals in the second half for South Korea, with a Yacine Brahimi marker for Algeria sandwiched between them.

Algeria became the first African nation to score four goals in a World Cup match.
