It was a disappointing afternoon for some young soccer players from Montreal who were competing on Team Eastern Canada for a chance to represent the country at the Danone Nations Cup finals in Brazil.
After going into added tied at 1-1, Team Western Canada managed to score an additional two goals to end the match 3-1.
The Nations Cup is the biggest youth soccer tournament in the world, with 2.3 million 11- and 12-year-olds participating in the selection process.
Of those, 384 will travel to Brazil for a four-day competition.
This is the 15th year of the Cup, which involves 32 countries from around the world.
