What would famous musicians and their songs look like as buildings?

Italian illustrator Federico Babina, known for his projects exploring the link between art and architecture, has released a new artistic series of prints called ‘Archimusic,' which blends music and architecture.

The series immortalizes 27 songs as wacky architectural designs, creating a soundtrack of illustrations which give shape, light and color to the music.

Artists ranging from The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to Bach, Radiohead, Michael Jackson and Nirvana are all featured in the series.

David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Bjork are also depicted as architectural structures.

"Music and architecture are intimately joined by a cosmic connection," explains Babina. "They both are generated by an underlying code, an order revealed by mathematics and geometry. Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence."

He adds: "A building is like a harmonic progression following the movement of chords."

Archimusic prints are available from Babina's online store from $24.96
