Saint John police say a man wanted over an Ontario shooting may be in the New Brunswick city.
Police said Sunday that they have credible information that Sirvon Edwards, 31, of Markham, Ont., is in the Saint John area.
Sergeant Clint Whitney of York Regional Police said Edwards is wanted over a May 8 incident where shots were fired by a pub near Yonge Street.
A 22-year-old man was found shot. He survived.
"[Edwards] has a history of violence and is considered armed and dangerous," Whitney said. "Anyone who encounters him is advised not to approach him, but to call 911 immediately."
Edwards has several tattoos, including:
- "187" on his left forearm
- "Loved by few" and "Hated by many" on his right and left wrists
- A cross with "Remember me" on the underside of his right forearm
Police urged Edwards to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.
