Carl Ross, 32, was charged in a Montreal courtroom in connection with the deaths of two pedestrians last week.
Ross was charged with dangerous driving causing death after a collision on Friday on Sherbrooke Street East, at
the intersection of Dickson Street.
Witnesses told police they saw the accused driving at a very high speed just before the crash.
Police say his car hit the car in front of him which, in turn, hit the two pedestrians who were waiting for a bus.
The man, 37, and woman, 51, were thrown several metres.
They were pronounced dead in hospital.
