Toronto may hit peak traffic congestion this weekend when two main arteries in the city will be closed off.
The northbound and southbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway will be closed for spring maintenance beginning on Friday at 10 p.m. and going to Sunday at 6 a.m. The rain date for this maintenance is two weekends away, May 23-26, which could be likely since rain is in the forecast this weekend.
This is in conjunction with ongoing construction on the Gardiner Expressway, the Toronto Marathon and a possible Toronto Raptors game on Sunday.
The marathon will close the Spadina Avenue and Jarvis Street off-ramp access to Lake Shore Boulevard.
Also clogging up that area may be traffic from the Air Canada Centre, where the Raptors will be playing on Sunday if the team loses its playoff game tonight, forcing a game six in the best of seven series.
