CALGARY - Five people are dead after a stabbing at a house party in Calgary involving university students.
The victims are reported to include four men and a woman, all in their late teens or early 20s.
The violence erupted at a home in the northwest neighbourhood of Brentwood just before 1:30 a.m. today.
Police say a person who had fled from the home was arrested with the help of a canine unit and later taken to hospital for treatment of dog bite injuries.
There's no immediate word on the motive for the attack.
Neighbours say the home was being rented by University of Calgary students and that they were having a so-called Bermuda shorts day party that started yesterday. (CHQR, CFFR)
