What Singers Could Front Nirvana At The Rock Hall Of Fame Induction?

The question of who might front Nirvana when the legendary Seattle rock band is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 10 has been on fans' minds for months.

Kurt Cobain is not an easy act to follow — Dave Grohl has said, "It's sacred ground. If we were ever to do something like that it would have to be right because you want to pay tribute. There's a reason Foo Fighters don't do Nirvana songs."

Coming on the heels of the 20th anniversary of Kurt's death makes it even more imperative that any replacement respect his legacy.

Well, Grohl may have cleared up the mystery by posting an Instagram pic that appears to show his drum kit, Krist Novoselic's bass, Pat Smear's guitar and Joan Jett's melody maker.






Jett is undoubtedly a cool choice, both because Kurt would probably have dug it and because she's a friend and collaborator of Grohl's. But it got us thinking about other potential lead singers, from '60s legends to '90s peers to 2000s-era inspired-bys, who could also step in.
