The CBC team in British Columbia picked up 10 RTDNA regional awards this year from the Association of Electronic Journalists, including the award for the best online news coverage in B.C.
The B.C. awards were presented on Saturday night in Burnaby at a ceremony hosted by the CBC's Renee Filippone:
- Digital Media Award - BC Votes 2013, by the B.C. web team.
- Diversity (Radio): Breakdown: The Culture of Mental Illness, by Steven Chua and Pamela Post, (The Early Edition).
- In-depth/Investigative (Radio) - Pidgin Protests, by The Early Edition team.
- In-depth/Investigative (TV) - Risky Pill, by Natalie Clancy, (CBC News Vancouver).
- Short Feature (Radio) - Green Rush, by Bob Keating, (CBC News Nelson).
- Long Feature (Radio) - Medical Tourism, by Deborah Wilson, (CBC: On The Island).
- Creative Use Of Sound - The Secrets of Stanley Park, by Lee Rosevere, Jason D'Souza (The Early Edition).
- Continuing Coverage - Adriana Falcon, by Belle Puri, (CBC News Vancouver).
- Sports Award (Radio) - Larry Kwong, B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, by Brady Strachan, (CBC Daybreak South).
- Sports Award (TV) - Lawn Bowling: New Generation, by Shane Foxman, (CBC News Vancouver).
