Showers will continue this evening for Vancouver as we get behind our morning rainmaker, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.
Already 10 to 20 millimetres has fallen with the Pacific frontal system that moved onshore overnight. However, the centre of the low-pressure system has stayed put just offshore and will continue to bring unstable weather through the weekend.
Temperatures are a touch on the cool side today but will recover back up to double digits over the weekend.
Clouds will remain low, and showers will continue on and off for both Saturday and Sunday. There is still a chance the city could end off the weekend with some late-day sun though.
