EDMONTON - It appears that Alberta's anti-bullying minister will not be turfed for publicly mocking one of her colleagues.
Alison Redford is dismissing opposition suggestions that Sandra Jansen be fired from her family and community safety portfolio.
Redford says people say unfortunate things in the heat of the moment and points out Jansen has apologized.
On Friday, Jansen criticized Len Webber, a caucus colleague who quit, saying Redford abuses and bullies those around her.
Jansen told a national TV program that if Webber was uncomfortable with the rough and tumble of politics, maybe he should — quote — "go back to being an electrician."
She later apologized on Twitter after getting criticized by people, including members of Redford's caucus.
