A lottery ticket sold in Langley, B.C., has matched all of Friday's Lotto Max $50-million draw numbers.
The winning numbers — 3, 4, 5, 7, 31, 33, 40 and bonus number 49 — were on just the one ticket.
The British Columbia Lottery Corporation says the winner has not yet come forward and has just under one year to come forward to claim the prize.
The jackpot ties the largest lottery prize ever won in B.C. and is just a few million below the largest single lottery win in Canada: a $54-million Lotto 6/49 prize won in Alberta in 2005.
The most recent Lotto Max jackpot in B.C. was a $25-million prize won in Victoria in November.
MaxMillions and Extra wins in B.C.
Two MaxMillions prizes drawn on Friday and a winning Extra draw were also associated with B.C. tickets, the BCLC said.
A ticket bought in Surrey won $1 million, and a ticket sold in Port Alberni splits a $1-million prize with two other tickets, making its prize worth $333,333.40.
A ticket sold in the Malahat and Juan deFuca region of Vancouver Island won the Extra draw, and the ticket holder can claim that $500,000 prize, the BCLC said.
