Every Friday, CBC Montreal’s Homerun arts reporter Pierre Landry brings you the top five things to see and do in Montreal this weekend.
Here are Pierre's picks for Dec. 7, 8 and 9.
1. Montreal's Half Moon Run have spent nearly 2 years on the road in support of their debut album, Dark Eyes. Now they come full circle with two sold-out homecoming shows at Metropolis. You can catch them Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.
2. The 34th annual CBC Christmas Sing-In takes place on Sunday at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, and at Bourgie Hall. Admission is free. Space is limited, so arrive early! Bracelets will be available at noon. Doors open at 2 p.m. The concert is at 3 p.m.
3. It wouldn't be the holiday season without The Nutcracker. Ballet Ouest presents an all-new production of this classic at Salle Pierre-Mercure. It's on Saturday and Sunday.
4. Urban Tales are back at Centaur Theatre. But this time, it's all about the ladies! Sugar and spice and everything nice? These ladies are made of something else. For mature audiences. It runs until Dec. 14.
5. Looking for the perfect gift? You might find it at The Nutcracker Market at Palais des Congrès, which wraps up this weekend. There is also Le Salon des métiers d'art that is setting up shop at Place Bonaventure until Dec. 22.
