Employees of a Boston Pizza location in Oshawa, Ont., have been charged with over-serving alcohol to a customer after a pedestrian was killed by a driver police say had recently left the restaurant.
A person driving a silver Dodge Neon made it to the intersection of Harmony Road and Taunton Road East — only blocks from the restaurant chain location — before hitting a 36-year-old man who later died from his injuries.
Three Boston Pizza employees have been charged as well as the restaurant. Boston Pizza, Kirandeep Khaira, Harinder Brar and Alicia Brunea face charges of selling liquor to an intoxicated person charges.
The fatal collision happened on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at approximately 2:28 a.m., officers from Central West Division in Oshawa say.
