A child is missing after an early morning house fire on the Witchekan Lake First Nation.
The house was fully engulfed in flames when RCMP arrived on scene at 1:23 a.m. CST.
Seven people were able to escape from the home, but police were alerted that one person, believed to be a child, was unaccounted for.
Several of those that got out were transported to Shellbrook Hospital and treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
The RCMP Fire Scene Examiner and officials from the Saskatchewan Fire Commissioners Office are at the scene trying to determine what happened.
The Witchekan Lake First Nation is approximately 125 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.
