EDMONTON - Police will be holding a news conference in Edmonton today to announce charges against a suspect in a stabbing rampage at a Loblaws warehouse.

Two workers were killed and four were injured when a man carrying a knife in each hand launched a vicious attack yesterday afternoon.

The identities of the victims haven't been released, but police say two of the wounded are in serious condition and the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Inspector Malcolm Allan says the warehouse is the size of two football fields, and the victims were found scattered throughout the massive complex.

Police say they have yet to determine the motive for the carnage, but note the assailant was wearing what looked like body armour, suggesting the attack was planned.

A warehouse employee, 29-year-old Jayme Pasieka (Jaim-ee Pass-EEK-uh), was arrested without incident about three hours after the attack.

Pasieka was convicted in 2010 of assault with a weapon and uttering threats and was sentenced to 15 months probation.

The Edmonton Journal covered the trial and said Pasieka threw eggs at a neighbour's vehicle, set a heart-shaped fire on their street and brandished a bow and arrow.

Pasieka told police he did it in the name of The Queen. The man's father told court he had suffered a head injury three years earlier.
